The Miami County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA) is the primary economic and community development organization for Miami County, Indiana. Miami County consists of several small communities and the county seat of Peru, Indiana. MCEDA is a unique partnership of private enterprise and government working as one for the prosperity of North Central Indiana. Our purpose is to coordinate local efforts to attract jobs and new business investment, provide assistance to existing businesses to foster growth and retention, and assist in efforts to sustain and improve the quality of life for Miami County citizens (more about our programs below). Funding: The MCEDA was designed to be a public/private partnership and has enjoyed support from both sectors since its inception. As the organization annually renews its commitment to county-wide economic development we ask the local government and the business community to also renew their financial support of our efforts to promote economic growth.

We are located in North Central Indiana approximately 60 miles due north of Indianapolis and approximately 70 miles south of South Bend, IN. Two major four lane US Highway systems ( US 31 & US 24) intersect in Miami County just north of our county seat of Peru. These two highway systems offer direct access to six different interstate highway systems within a 45 minute drive. See Maps

This regional partnership includes the surrounding counties of Cass, Clinton, Fulton, Howard, and Tipton.
